Using this website
We want the Hyrarx website to be usable on desktop, tablet and mobile, including with assistive technology.
The site uses semantic headings and landmarks, descriptive links, text alternatives for the logo and visible keyboard focus. A “Skip to content” link is available when you begin navigating with a keyboard. The layout adapts to narrower screens, and the page can be enlarged using browser zoom.
The content and navigation work without JavaScript. Our Story opens as a text overlay on the launch page and scrolls gently towards the logo by default. Scrolling with a wheel, touch or keyboard stops the automatic movement and lets you move freely up and down. With a reduced-motion preference, the story stays still and can be read by scrolling. The overlay can be read with a keyboard or touch and closed using its Close button or Escape. Keyboard focus stays within the overlay while it is open, then returns to Our Story when it closes. The decorative gold finish responds to a pointer or touch. A subtle sheen on the background panels responds to mouse movement or a touch press and is disabled with a reduced-motion preference. The launch announcement uses a decorative eclipse and a light reveal through the lettering. The words remain available to assistive technology. Trails, shimmer, particles, the eclipse reveal and transition movement are disabled when a reduced-motion preference is set on your device.
Our accessibility aim
We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is an accessibility aim, rather than a claim of independent certification. We will review the site as its content changes.
